In 2017, Alejandra and Juan met at a Cubs game during an event for graduating students of UIC. They were enjoying the game with mutual friends when they had the opportunity to talk briefly. While it was brief, they both definitely felt connected to each other. However, they would have to wait some years to meet again. A few years later, Alejandra and Juan crossed each other’s paths once more. They were both out for a close friend’s birthday celebration. They caught each other’s eye and from that point Juan knew he had to get to know Alejandra. Alejandra being the person that she is, made sure he knew she was on the same page. ❤️️ After their first few dates, Alejandra and Juan, along with the whole world were notified that the COVID-19 Pandemic would cause everything to shutdown. With all the unknowns, they proceeded to communicate and get to know each other via phone call. The two patiently waited to see each other in person, and were finally able to spend quality time together once some restrictions were lifted. Shortly after, it was clear that the bond they had formed was meant for more. On June 26th, 2020, Juan asked Alejandra to be his girlfriend and, of course, she said yes. With each day that passed and the countless hours spent driving to visit each other, their love continued to deepen and grow. It was clear to Juan and Alejandra that God had created them for one another. After one year and ten months, Juan got on one knee and asked Alejandra to be his, forever. And alas, here we are.

En el 2017, Alejandra y Juan se conocieron en un partido de béisbol de los Cachorros de Chicago durante un evento para estudiantes de su universidad, UIC. Cada uno estaba disfrutando del partido con sus amigos. A través de amigos en común tuvieron la oportunidad de conocerse. Después de presentarse, hablaron brevemente. Si bien fue breve, ambos definitivamente sintieron algo especial. Sin embargo, tendrían que esperar un par de años más para encontrarse de nuevo. Unos años después, los caminos de Alejandra y Juan se volvieron a cruzar. Ambos estaban en la celebración del cumpleaños de un amigo cercano. Se vieron otra vez y desde ese momento Juan supo que no podía dejar pasar la oportunidad de conocer a Alejandra. Alejandra siendo la persona que es, se aseguró de que él supiera que ella también quería conocerlo más. ❤️️ Después de un par de citas, Alejandra y Juan, junto al mundo entero, fueron notificados de que la pandemia de COVID-19 haría que todo cerrara. Con todas las incógnitas, procedieron a comunicarse y conocerse vía llamada telefónica. Los dos esperaron pacientemente volver a estar juntos en persona y finalmente pudieron pasar tiempo de calidad juntos una vez que se levantaron las restricciones. Poco después, quedó claro que el vínculo que habían formado estaba destinado a más. El 26 de junio de 2020, Juan le pidió a Alejandra que fuera su novia y por supuesto ella dijo que sí. Con cada día que pasaba y las innumerables horas que ellos pasaban manejando para visitarse, su amor continuó profundizándose. Era claro para Juan y Alejandra que Dios los había creado el uno para el otro. Después de un año y diez meses, Juan le pidió a Alejandra que fuera su esposa, su amor para siempre.
