Dear family and friends, We hope you and yours are healthy and safe during this time, and we appreciate all the love and support we’ve received from each of you. Although the COVID-19 crisis has created much uncertainty, as of now, we will be proceeding with our wedding on May 22, 2021. We understand that the situation is in constant flux, but based on the current CDC guidelines and the recommendations of our state, we feel that by May, it will be safe to gather and celebrate. We will keep you informed if that should change, however, so please continue to check out our website for updates. We understand it may be difficult or even impossible for some to attend and feel safe. If you do not feel comfortable attending our wedding for any reason (health risk, travel concerns etc.), please don't feel bad about responding no to the invite. We love you all and your health and having you in our lives is far more important to us than having you in person at our wedding. We understand the decision and are more than okay with you putting your personal health first. Please feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions or concerns. Love, Kevin and Taylor
We first met on a dating app, exchanged a few messages but left it there. A few weeks (months?) later, we then met again on a different dating app, made plans to go on a date but I canceled last minute. A few more weeks later and I randomly sent him a snapchat and we started talking from there! Eventually, I agreed to go on our first date at a place called Arizona Wilderness and that was just the beginning of our story!
Kevin planned a fun date night and told me we were going to the Las Noches de las Luminarias at the Desert Botanical Garden and afterward he was planning a surprise dinner for me. That night we walked all around the Botanical Gardens enjoying the beautiful weather and scenic gardens but I noticed that he was very quiet and not saying much. He had never been to the Desert Botanical Gardens before so I was thinking that he wasn't enjoying it as much as me ( I later found out he was super nervous and that's why he was being so quiet). Eventually, we were running out of time because we had to leave to make our dinner reservations. Kevin suggested going back to an area we had been earlier in the night. We sat on a bench and took some pictures in front of a decorated tree when he suddenly got down on one knee. He asked me to marry him and as a bonus had a beautiful ring. I was absolutely taken by surprise and so happy to say yes to spending forever with him! After he proposed we heard fireworks going off nearby, it wasn't planned but worked as a celebration to start our next chapter!
