Discounted rooms are available at the Wyndham Grand Rio Mar Resort. Please book your room before November 11, 2022. February is a popular time to travel to Puerto Rico, and the earlier the better for getting lower costs flights. You can book your room using the link on the "Travel" page.

How long should I plan to stay?

Answer

Guests can plan to arrive on Thursday 2/2 or Friday 2/3 and stay until Monday 2/6/2023. While it is our wedding, we also recognize it is your Vacation too! We hope you take some time to explore some of what Puerto Rico has to offer.

Can I extend my stay?

Answer

Yes you can! The discounted rate is available through the Wyndham Resort from Tuesday January 31 - Thursday February 9. If you are looking to extend your trip in addition to the time at the Wyndham Resort, there are a lot of Airbnb and VRBO options to see some other parts of the island!

When should I book my trip?

Answer

We encourage everyone to book as soon as you know you can attend! February is a very popular time to visit Puerto Rico. The resort is blocking discounted rooms, but booking early is the best way to guarantee the lowest price. The resort does not charge your credit card until check in. *The resort mentions 1 night deposit due, but does not charge until check in. For Flights we recommend downloading and setting alerts using the Hopper App, it can provide information on the best time to book.

How do I get to the resort?

There are a few options to get from SJU Airport to The Wyndham Rio Mar Resort. 1. Rental Car - There are a number of rental car options available in the airport terminal directly. The resort is about a 30-40 minute drive from the Airport. 2. Uber/Lyft - Uber and Lyft are very easy a more affordable option. There is a designated "Ride Share" area located outside of the terminal in SJU for pickups after you schedule a ride through the app. 3. Scheduled Airport Pickup - Go Puerto Rico Shuttle has a website to help book airport pickups. You can also give them a call to schedule. https://puertoricoshuttle.com/reservations **There is an Enterprise Rental Car location inside of the Wyndham Resort. You can rent a car for a single day if you were looking to explore the island away from the resort and do not want to rent a car for the whole trip.

Is the wedding at the resort?

Answer

No, the wedding is at a venue that is about 15 minutes away from the resort. The Venue is located in the El Yunque Rainforest. There will be transportation leaving from the lobby of the Wyndham Resort to the Wedding Venue. The Shuttles will be leaving at 3:30 p.m. so please try to be in the lobby around 3:15 to avoid missing the shuttle. There will be multiple return shuttles in the event that you wish to return prior to the end of the reception.

What should I wear for the wedding?

Answer

Summer Cocktail, or Semi-formal attire. The venue is in the El Yunque Rainforest. You may want have an umbrella in the event that it does rain. Most of the ceremony is in the grass- you may want to reconsider heels- Flats or Wedges might be a better option.
