FAQs

The Wedding Website of Alariza Nevárez and Clay Newman
Here are some questions we anticipate guests having for us, as well as our answers. If you still have any questions or concerns that are not addressed on this page, please feel free to reach out to either bride and groom by the RSVP due date.
Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

Though we would love for you to bring a date, we have to stick to the numbers we provided the venue and vendors. Unless your invitation explicitly says "and Guest," or has a second name on it, please don’t bring an uninvited guest. Thank you for your understanding!

Question

Are kids welcomed?

Answer

Short answer: Unfortunately, no. Long answer: We love kids and would love for all of them to be there on our special day, we just have to be careful about our numbers for the sake of the venue and the vendors. Our adorable ring bearers will be whisked away after the ceremony as well. This will also be a 420 friendly wedding (there will be a designated smoking area) and we feel it’s best to not have little ones around for that. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Short answer: Yes, semi-formal. Long answer: Though this is a wedding, which traditionally is a formal affair, we want people to be comfortable! This is an outdoor venue in the LA mountains, so dress warm and think twice before wearing heels.

Question

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Answer

We recommend giving yourself plenty of time to find the venue and parking. The ranch is located off of windy, steap, and narrow roads; please drive safely! The ceremony will start promptly at 3:00pm, so getting there by 2:30pm-2:45pm is a good idea.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

There is not. You can take an Uber or Lyft to the venue (Reptacular Ranch will appear on both ride-share apps), which we recommend if you plan on drinking! Or if you know others at the hotel you’re staying at, we recommend carpooling to the venue. And we also recommend assigning and sticking to a designated driver if you plan on drinking. As mentioned before, the roads to the ranch are very narrow and windy; please be safe!

Question

What is phone service like at the venue? Is there WiFi?

Answer

Being a venue in the mountains, the cell service is spotty at best at Reptacular Ranch. Luckily there’s strong wifi and we will have the network and password on display upon your arrival.

Question

Both food truck options look great; I can't decide! Can I grab food from both?

Answer

Of course you can! We only ask that in the first round, you go to the truck you initially requested in the rsvp to insure everyone gets their meals quickly. Once the announcement for seconds has been made, feel free to go to any truck, or both. Since the food trucks will both be buffet style, we recommend trying a little bit of everything. The taco truck will only be there for an hour, so we recommend grabbing the food items from there while you can. However, the pizza stand will be there for two hours, so we recommend pacing yourself with the pizza! There will be only one veggie pizza option, all meat proteins for the tacos, two veggie side dishes at the taco stand, and no vegan options across the board…. 🤷

Question

Are you registered for a gift registry? Where?

Answer

We have an online gift registry on our website with cash funds guests can contribute to as wedding gifts.
