Travis and Alanna met at a dive bar in a small Wisconsin town when Travis' close friend played a show there. The kismet meeting was in truth a ploy set up by Alanna’s mother, who knew Travis and had hopes of getting the two of them in the same place.
While the two visited Oklahoma, Travis proposed to Alanna on a boat dock he had just built in front of family members. Travis used the ring of Alanna's beloved grandmother to propose.
