The Wedding Day
Italy in July is hot! To keep everyone comfortable, we’ll be holding our wedding later in the day than what you might be used to in Canada or the UK. This also means we'll be enjoying a later dinner, just like the Italians do.
Guests are welcome to arrive at the venue around 5:00pm, with the ceremony beginning at 5:30pm.
Aperitifs will be served after the ceremony, but we recommend having lunch beforehand, as the main meal won't be served until the evening.
The timing also leaves room for a classic Italian siesta before the ceremony, which is the perfect way to recharge before dancing the night away under the stars!
Dress Code
We kindly ask that all guests dress in formal or cocktail attire for our special day. Think elegant and polished, but comfortable in the heat. Our wedding will also be outdoor, so we recommend block heels over stilettos! What does that look like? Cocktail dresses, elegant jumpsuits, and suits or kilts with ties are all appropriate.
