This restaurant is one of the first you’ll see when walking from Hotel Playa de la Luz to the boardwalk. It’s amazing, with both indoor and outdoor seating. It can get pretty busy, but it’s worth it—the beach view while you eat is an added bonus! Our favorite dishes on the menu are the pulpo and the artichokes.
Take a catamaran from Rota to Cádiz—but be sure to check the schedule in advance and purchase round-trip tickets. The ride takes about 35 minutes and offers beautiful views along the way. Cádiz is the oldest continuously inhabited city in Western Europe and well worth the visit! The linked website includes the schedule: LV stands for lunes a viernes (Monday to Friday), and SDF is for sábado, domingo y festivos (weekends and holidays). You can catch the catamaran at the marina—ask your hotel for directions on how to get there.
Cozy Little Bar with Artistic Flair A charming little bar with an artistic touch—the artwork inside was painted by the owners themselves! All the tapas are delicious, but the chicken tagine is definitely worth trying. Feels like you are in a cave when inside, it is very old and worth a visit!
Delicious, authentic Neapolitan pizza made by an owner who’s originally from Naples.
For the History Buffs If you're interested in history, be sure to check out the Phoenician Corrales in Rota! You can even see them at low tide from Hotel Playa de la Luz. To learn more, visit the website linked below.
