Best Man
Robert is not only the man. He’s the best man. He is also known as Robert Elkblood. Roberto and I met at Logan University where we went through the trenches together. We’ve had 6 exams in one day, we’ve spent most our time together in a library, discovered our love for disc golf, been to many concerts together, and now he’s in my wedding along with the rest of ‘the boys’ from Logan. Through great times and hard times Robert has been the Swiss Army knife of a friend who has advice or an ear for any situation.
Andreanna Vandemark
Maid of Honor
Andreanna Vandemark (Trisha) aka my soul sister, longtime friend and Maid of Honor. Trisha and I met in our 20's waiting tables in Maine over 12 years ago and if there is one thing I have learned about our friendship, it's that those who shenan, will shenanigan - LOL. Trust, there is no shortage of shenanigans and hilarity from the years we've been friends; good times that grew into one of the most valuable relationships in my life, far surpassing friendship into chosen family. We've come a long way; from caressing curtains at Old Port Billiards to holding her hours-old first born baby boy. It's a life-long thing, the two of us. This duo is winner of the -most likely to be crying on the floor about how much we love each other at the end of the night - award.
Bryan Hickam

Bryan, our class president, has taught me so many things as we’ve known each other through school. The most valuable aspect of Bryan I took note of, is leadership. Bryan was not only our president but 3 other titles in class government. He had so much investment into the quality of the school. He had many meetings with high level faculty to make Logan a better place for the class and the school. It is amazing to watch where he’s been and now where he is. Proud to call him a friend of mine.
Nicole Ekblad

Nicole Ekblad is a founding member of the Sushi Gang and bears the initiation tattoo in remembrance of that fateful first gathering of the gang, nearly 4 years ago. I met Nicole and her Husband Rob, on Steven and I's third date; all it took was one evening of good music, sushi (and lots of saki) for her and I to become best friends. She is the true queen of candid photos and is basically responsible for every sweet photo documenting Steven and I's relationship milestones. From our third date to our engagement! Nicole is one of those, ride or die, give you the shirt off her back, no bullsh*t, hilarious friends that make life worth living!

Cody is my technically my half brother, but not many of you know that because I don’t hesitate to say, he’s my brother. Because he is my brother and we’ll always be brothers. Nothing will change that. With everything that life has thrown at us, we’re still standing and looking at the next challenge to overcome.
Hannah Meeks

Ahhhh, Hannah - The eldest Meeks sister and my rock in life. When I think of Hannah, I think of times spent laughing till we cry and just pure goober-goofball-ridculousness. She is the true big sister everyone deserves to have - has moved me across the country (more than once), kept me laughing when I only wanted to cry and been one of my fiercest supporters through it all. She is hilarious, smart as hell and one of my favorite people on the planet.
Dylan Weiss

Dylan or “DeeWee,” and I met through mutual friends years ago. It’s funny because those mutual friends that we had, we both don’t really have relationships anymore but him and I are still great friends. I’m so thankful that I was able to meet Dylan, he’s helped me in a very low time in my life and I’m proud to say he’s my friend. We’ve hiked many miles, traveled very far, eaten raw meat, and sought out the best of ourselves together through life’s many challenges.
Haleigh Meeks

My next oldest sibling, Haleigh, is a true creative - she thrives in whimsy and imagination, quippy sarcasm and has always been my ultimate co-conspirator. She was always the person who made sure I never felt alone (mostly by choice). At 7 making sure I bunked in the same cabin at horse camp when I was so so shy. She made sure I had a table full of friends to sit with at lunch first day of school when we moved to Texas. To our college days, renting an apartment together and getting into all kinds of mischief together! She is my sister but even more so, my first friend. Lord help those in our path when we get together!
Christopher Watkins

This man has always been there for me. Since the day I met Chris, he’s always made such an incredible effort to propel the life around him, and fortunately that includes me. He’s an amazing human being, we’ve hiked 14,000 foot mountains together, been to too many concerts to count, and we continue to hold each other accountable to our goals in life. I’ve also never met anyone in my life who is able to actively listen better than him. Sounds kind of weird to mention, but Chris is able to make you feel like he knows exactly what you’re talking about, even if the topic is something he’s never heard of. It’s an incredible trait among many others that he possesses and I’m absolutely thrilled to call you a friend of mine.

Hannah and I became friends through in a strike of pure pure luck - a craigslist post, renting a room in an "apartment" aka former call center in Portland, Maine with carpet in the kitchen, being rented out by the owners of a beefy jerky store... How the two of us found each other, with neither party being a full blown craiglist crazy, went against all the odds! We quickly realized we would be good friends and very very quickly found a new apartment to rent together! My friendship with Hannah is very dear to my heart - one of those friends you can pick up right where you left off, whether it's been a month or a year. She is hilarious, sarcastic and just genuinely the best.
Benjamin Carlisle

Benjamin is another one of my friends from Logan. I must say, I never knew someone could quote movies as well as I could. Some of our favorites include Dodgeball, Ace Ventura, and I think you get the point. We basically communicate in movie quotes that probably don’t mean anything to the conversation. He’s an absolute goof and that’s why I love him. When we need to be serious, we really can have a good conversation. 99.9% of the time otherwise we’re just laughing and making jokes. Life is meant to be enjoyed and man have I enjoyed life with this man.
Aprilynn Belous

Group 2-8, don't hate! I met Aprilynn my literal first day of college at UNT - it took roughly the duration of orientation for us to become friends! We did everything together in college - constantly incapable of staying serious about anything and most likely to be the ones disturbing others on the quiet floor at the campus library. Over the years, near or far, we are always there to cheer the other on. She was the first friend I made out in the world as an "adult" and is the primary reason I ever came out of my shell. She is fiercely loyal, always down for an adventure and most of all, the most un-seriousness bada$$ I've ever met.
Alec Deleeuw

I think Alec surprises himself about who he is. He’s also a Logan-ite that battled in the trenches with the group. This man has been to Germany and speaks fluent German, he is an avid disc golfer and he scored the highest in our group on the online autism test. Bryan was second place. But don’t let me being the least autistic score fool you. I’m so autistic that I knew what they were looking for so automatically I knew how to hide it. All jokes aside, Alec is an incredible human being, he has the ability to stabilize the mood and bring us back to realize that life is great even if we felt like we bombed a test or generally having a hard time. I don’t think I’ve ever laughed as hard with anyone than with Alec and am so grateful for this man.

I first met Mei, as a dear friend of my friend Trisha, whilst collaborating to plan her baby shower via text. Never having met before, I had no idea what to expect and as someone my good friend really cared about, I crossed my fingers and hoped to god we would get along. It would really suck not to like her - LOL - lo and behold, my friends choose awesome friends! I'm lucky to now call her one of my own; She is that person who is always there to lift you up with words of support -or- promises of violence against those who have upset you! She is just as sweet as she is spicy, often prefers puppies to people, has a huge heart and will go to the ends of the earth for the people she loves.
