The deep sea waters attract more serious fishermen that want a chance to hook a trophy fish. These boat operators and crew will optimize your experience. 3 hour ocean fishing trip in traditional Mexican “panga” boats operated from Platanitos. (Van transport is provided.) Troll off-shore for sierra, toro, snapper and other seasonal fish using rod /reel combos or hand lines. (Hand lines are preferred by local fishermen and may be more fun for children.) If desired, this trip includes having the day’s catch cleaned and made ready for cooking. Max 4 adults + 2 children in a center between adults is $225. Price without transport, without fish cleaning is $180.

Start with a boat ride through the jungle growth at La Tovara National Park . Your boat will maneuver to maximize photo ops - migratory birds, blue herons, egrets, herons, hawks, wild crocodiles, turtles, iguanas and more. (Bathroom stops are provided.) Several movies have been filmed here, and picturesque bamboo huts remain from a movie set. In addition to all the wild crocodiles, you can get a closer look at these majestic reptiles at the croc “farm”. For the really adventurous souls, you can even swim in a designated area which is separated from the croc farm by a barrier … of sorts! After the boat trip, you will visit a restored Spanish fort, providing a panoramic view of the city of San Blas. Next, you will explore the town’s square, a historic church, visit shops/restaurants.
