Pack winter coat/jacket for Europe. Pair of shorts to change into once the plane lands in Freetown. 

COMMUNICATION
T-Mobile customers can enjoy free 3Gs data/ text only. AT&T offers a $10 international talk/text/data plan. Please check with your wireless provider before traveling. 

MONEY
Travel with some Cash; preferably the new $100 bills as you will get more Leones for the newer $100 bills. Hotels accept Visa and Master Cards. 

NIGHTLIFE 
Freetown has a vibrant nightlife; pack accordingly. Some nightclubs and/or restaurants will not allow shorts. Pack as if you were going on a summer vacation. 

AIRPORT
The airport is on the peninsula and the quickest way to the capitol city is via sea. If you are staying at Sierra Palm, you will be catching the Sea Coach Express and the Sea Bird If you are staying at the Atlantic Lumley hotel. It cost $50 one way. This includes the shuttle and sea taxi. The hotel will bill you at the end of your stay.
