You may be wondering how we could have met each other during a pandemic. We were both confined to our houses during the stay at home order and thought, "Why not create an online dating profile?". We both swiped right and the rest is history! From our first date on a zoom call, to igloo dinner dates and axe throwing in face masks, our story certainly isn't typical in any way. With so much uncertainty, we definitely did not expect to find our future spouses at a time when you can't even leave your house! Alyson, the introvert, usually does not enjoy zoom calls or even phone calls, but persevered through Zach's extroverted tendencies to want to talk ALL THE TIME. And Zach, who would rather spend time with people than do most anything else, had to acclimate to spending limited time with his new girlfriend. Now we have met in the middle and have learned to accommodate each other's needs...at least most of the time! We also have experienced some of the most profound spiritual growth during our time together. We each deeply value the role God plays in our lives and find that a partner sharing this mindset only inspires more humility, growth, and honesty in how we live for Christ. Hello Fresh meals provided a fun way to learn to cook new meals from the comfort of our own space. We have relished the opportunities to spend time with friends and family in socially distanced situations. Reading and discussing books, sharing our favorite movies and shows, and attending church together are just a few things that have brought us closer throughout the past year. We look forward to the future together! We believe the challenges of the pandemic have brought about personal, relational, and spiritual growth, and strategies to remain connected far into the future. We cannot wait to share our lives with you and, god-willing, our future children *gasp*. We hope to spend time with each and every one of our guests not only at the wedding celebration, but for years to come.
