Flight
For guests traveling from Australia, we recommend using Singapore airlines as that has worked best for us in the past. The airport is in the outskirts of Bangalore and about a 2 hour drive into the city. However you will be able to find heaps of Taxis. We recommend downloading Uber or Ola if you are organising a pickup on arrival. If you would like to pre-organise your airport pickup, please reach out to us and we will be able to provide you the contacts of local taxi hires.
Rental Car
The traffic in Bangalore is very busy and chaotic. While we would normally not recommend driving by yourself, we understand if you would like to explore the option.
Travel Note
Payments - Tap pay does not work in India, and most places do not accept Amex. Visa or Mastercard would be the best card to use. Cabs - While some cabs accept cards, we recommend carrying around some cash as a lot of cabs generally do not accept rides if paying by cards. Uber and Ola apps in India have the Cash payment option. Water - Tap water is not safe for consumption. Please drink only filtered or bottled water. Bangalore is a tech-savvy place with heaps of Applications for all your needs: Zomato - For exploring local food options. We would recommend steering clear from street food and sticking to 3+ star restaurants Swiggy & Zomato - Food Delivery Blinkit - This is a very handy application that will deliver almost anything from groceries, retail and pharmaceuticals to your doorstep. Urbancompany - If you're staying at an Airbnb and want a massage/beauty services delivered to your doorstep ;)
