Question

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?

Answer

For guests not staying at the Renaissance - Bangalore has a lot of traffic and it takes a long time to travel. We recommend planning ahead for your travels, and aiming on getting there about 20-30 minutes earlier than the specified time.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Yes, Kids are most certainly welcome

Question

Where do I buy clothes for the wedding?

Answer

We would recommend traveling at least 1-2 days prior to do your shopping in Bangalore. Indian attire is much more reasonably priced with better collection in Bangalore. Here are some popular malls close to the wedding venue where you will easily find your outfit - Garuda Mall, Orion Mall, Forum Mall

Question

Is Breakfast provided at the accommodation?

Answer

If you are staying at the Renaissance Hotel, Breakfast is complimentary for the duration of your stay.

Question

Do I need to carry cash ?

Answer

While your international cards may work, we recommend carrying cash to get by. Most Auto and taxi drivers prefer cash over cards.

Question

Do I need to tip in India?

Answer

While tipping is not mandatory, we highly recommend tipping 7%-15% of your bill.

Question

Can I travel in an Auto Rickshaw?

Answer

Autos are much cheaper than taxis. We would recommend traveling in an Auto for closer distances. Simply go onto a main road and wave your hand out to haul an Auto Rickshaw. You may need to negotiate the price of your ride. If you are in doubt, use your Ola/Uber application to get an idea on the prices to your destination before getting into the ride

Question

Are Auto Rickshaws the same as Tuk-tuks

Answer

Yes they are the same.

Question

Will everyone know English in Bangalore?

Answer

Most people in Bangalore will know English (at least enough for you to get by). Please be patient while explaining your needs :)

Answer

India is a large country with 1.3 Billion people. Most urban cities will be able to communicate back to you in English. However the rural areas of the country might not know English.

Question

Can I explore India on my own?

Answer

While the bigger cities like Bangalore, Goa, Jaipur, Mumbai are perfectly safe to travel on your own, we would highly recommend going in groups and being aware of your surroundings.

Question

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Since the wedding ceremony and reception are at the same venue as the accommodation, no additional transport will be provided.

Question

Is street food safe?

Answer

We would recommend against street food to avoid getting sick.
