Please RSVP on our website, no later than June 30th.
The room block we have chosen will cover two nights (Friday and Saturday night). Check-In will be at 4PM on Friday while Check-Out is at 11AM on Sunday morning. A couple of additional nights can be booked before and after this period for the same rate (if requested via the room block).
Unfortunately, the hotel we chose only offers suite style rooms. However, there is another hotel, the Hilton Garden Inn Oakbrook Terrace, that is in the same lot as our reception venue; it offers single and double bed occupancy rooms.
Our ceremony will begin at 2PM sharp. We ask all guests to arrive no later than 1:30PM. If you arrive after this time, you may be asked to wait until after the processional of our wedding party is completed to enter the sanctuary.
The wedding venue is approximately 35 minutes away from the hotel & reception venue. Though the hotel and reception venue are not the same, they are located right next to each other, on the same lot, so there would be no travel time between the hotel and the recpetion venue.
Parking will be very limited at the Ceremony venue, however, there is ample street parking available at no fee. Parking at the Reception venue is free and it is on the same lot as the hotel.
The couple will be taking pictures with family members in an ordered manner. There will be light refreshments provided at the Ceremony venue for all guests. Once pictures are finished, the couple will make their exit and proceed to the reception venue.
Yes! Chicago is rich in history and there is always something fun to do. Albin and Aksa have had many dates at Navy Pier, where there is a fireworks show every night in the summer & the iconic Chicago Riverwalk. Labor Day weekend is a popular time to catch a baseball game, go to a music festival, visit Millennium Park, as well as several of Chicago's beautiful museums. If you venture a little bit outside of the city, or as the Chicagoans call it, "the Loop," or "Downtown," you can visit the BAPS Temple (yes, it is the sister temple of the BAPS Temple in New Jersey) and the stunning Baháʼí Temple.
