No. Only if you want to eat. Kidding! At most it will be a short hike to the ceremony.
We picked late September because of perfect adventuring temps to be outside. Not too hot, but not freezing. Current forecast for Thursday the 23rd in Moab is a high of 85 and a low of 54. Temps will be slightly cooler at Dead Horse Point. However it is the desert and you never know, it could rain, snow or be 90 degrees. Basically the key to being happy both day and night in the desert is layers, layers, layers!
The walk to our ceremony location is short but we will pass over some uneven terrain. Comfortable footwear is recommended as you'll be standing during the 1hr ceremony. Pack a hat and sunglasses for sun protection. As we will be outside into the night bring a lightweight but warm jacket.
Sunscreen. Hat. Sunglasses. Reusable water bottle. Bathing suit. Hiking shoes. Small backpack. Camera. Any other gear you anticipate needing for hiking, climbing, canyoneering, mountain biking, running and all other forms of exploring. Oh and some Tarantula-repellent.
