Question

What's a Ukrainian Wedding?

Answer

We're glad you asked! A Ukrainian (American) wedding has all the hallmarks of an American wedding, with additional traditions around spiritual union, family presentations, food, and dancing. The ceremony will be a sung Ukrainian Catholic ceremony—expect 45 minutes to an hour—and will be fully in Ukrainian.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Our wedding reception is semi-formal / black-tie optional. Women are welcome to wear mid- or floor-length dresses, and men are welcome to wear dark suits.

Question

What time should I plan to be at the ceremony? The reception?

Answer

Our ceremony will take place from 2-3pm. Please arrive between 1:30-1:45pm for enough time to find church seating. Our cocktail hour will start at 6pm, and our reception will go from 7pm-12am. Please arrive anytime after 6pm for cocktail hour!

Question

What do we do in between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will end at 3pm, and our cocktail hour starts at 6pm. In between, you're welcome to take some personal time to rest, explore Parma's Ukrainian Village, or head downtown for a quick tour of Cleveland (we would suggest visiting Cleveland's Ohio City neighborhood, which is under 20 minutes from the venue)

Question

Can I park at the venues?

Answer

There is plenty of (free) parking at each venue. However, if you are planning to drink at the reception, we ask that you please take the hotel shuttle or get a ride home.

Question

What's Cleveland weather like in October?

Answer

While weather can vary in early fall, expect a high of 62° and a low of 45° in the evenings. All events will primarily be held indoors, though the reception venue will have a patio area.

Question

Can we bring our children?

Answer

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, our wedding is adults-only. Thank you!
