Should I rent a car while on Vieques?

Answer

We recommend renting a car (or golf cart), however, there are plenty of shuttles and taxis on the island to get from place to place. We will also be providing shuttles to and from El Cerro on the day of the wedding. If you do plan on renting a car, we recommend making a reservation as soon as possible as there are limited options on Vieques. The best places to rent a car are: Avis and Maritzas. You can't rent a car in Puerto Rico and take it across the ferry to the island unfortunately.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

Yes. We will be arranging shuttles for everyone to be picked up and dropped off at their accommodations on the day of the wedding.please update your flight information on the RSVP section of the website once you book your travel.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We will be having a beach party during the day on Thursday, July 9th at Sun Bay Beach. There will also be a group of people who can pay to go out on kayaks to see the infamous Bioluminescent Bay on Wednesday night. There are many fun beaches on the island that you are welcome to explore as well.

How do I reserve a spot for the bioluminescent bay nighttime kayak trip?

Answer

The trip will be $55.75 per person and can be reserved by texting us (9894300214) how many spots you would like to reserve. You do not have to pay until the day prior. The trip will be on Wednesday night, 01/06/21 and currently there are limited spots for this fun event! We can always try and get an extra group outing if the demand is high.

Question

Do I need a passport, travel medication, or other immunizations prior to going to Puerto Rico?

Answer

You do NOT need a passport for Puerto Rico, just a valid driver’s license. In terms of medications, given we are there for a short period of time, you should not need to take anti-malaria medicine per the CDC website. The typhoid vaccine is recommended if you will be traveling to small cities, however, you do not need this is you are coming to Vieques and leaving after the wedding week.
