What is the dress code for the wedding ceremony and reception?

Answer

Black tie optional. We invite guests to dress formally; for men, this can mean a tuxedo if you have one, or a formal suit with a dress shirt and tie. For women, this can mean a floor-length gown, formal cocktail dress, or elegant evening separates. We invite guests to embrace the glamour of the setting with festive eveningwear!

Can I bring a plus-one?

Answer

Due to venue capacity, we are having an intimate event with our closest friends and family. Please refer to the names listed on your invitation; if you have a specific request. please reach out to us to see if we can accommodate.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, parking is available at the TWA Hotel. When you pull up to the hotel, a valet will park your car for you. More parking details will be shared closer to the wedding weekend.

Will the events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Most wedding events will take place indoors at the TWA Hotel. The traditional Haldi ceremony will take place outside and is completely optional. The ceremony, weather permitting, will take place outdoors on the tarmac. The cocktail hour and reception will be indoors.

Do I need to stay at the TWA Hotel?

Answer

Not at all. Staying onsite may be the most convenient option, especially for guests joining multiple wedding weekend events, but there are also many hotels nearby and throughout New York City. Guests living in the area are also welcome to either stay at the hotel or commute in via public transportation (AirTrain), rideshare, or park at the venue.

Our wedding celebration will be adults only. While we love your little ones, we appreciate your understanding.

Is the wedding actually at the airport?

Answer

Yes, but not inside a terminal you fly out of. The hotel is located on the grounds of JFK International Airport in the restored 1962 TWA Flight Center. It is a hotel and event venue with its own entrance, parking, restaurants, and event spaces. If driving, please follow signs for TWA Hotel. It is adjacent to, but not at, Terminal 5.

Do I need to go through airport security?

Answer

No. You do not need a boarding pass, TSA screening, or airport security clearance to attend the wedding.
