This event will take place in the sand on the beach, and is completely optional.
Before the wedding day, we’ll be celebrating a traditional Haldi ceremony — a joyful South Asian pre-wedding ritual where family blesses the couple with turmeric, love, and good wishes before marriage. This will be a casual, family-centered gathering that will take place during the workday, so please know there is absolutely no expectation that all guests attend. That said, if you would enjoy joining us for this meaningful and colorful tradition, we would be so happy to welcome you. Come ready for sunshine, laughter, and a little bit of turmeric. Dress comfortably, and consider wearing yellow, white, or something you don’t mind getting a little festive. Traditional Indian attire is welcome; those who wish to get in the water may want to bring a change of clothes into beachwear.

For anyone looking to kick off the weekend with us, we’ll be gathering informally in the Howard Hughes Presidential Suite at the TWA Hotel for drinks, snacks, and a little pre-wedding celebrating. This is completely optional — especially intended for our out-of-town guests who will already be at the hotel and would love to spend a bit more time together before the big day. No pressure, no formal program, just a chance to say hello, settle in, and toast to the weekend ahead. Come by whenever you’d like, stay as long as you’d like, and get ready for takeoff!
