Our Story

How We Met

Back Where It All Began

The story starts in Knowles Hall right here in Missoula, MT during freshman year at the University of Montana. Darah was quiet and reserved, AJ a little too loud and energetic, but they became friends thanks to common acquaintances and close proximity. It took 2 years, but AJ finally worked up the gumption to ask Darah on a date in October 2009. After more than 10 years, three stints of long-distance dating, and one cross-county move to Tennessee, Darah and AJ quietly decided to tie the knot on April 26, 2020. With the elopement and the worst of the pandemic behind us (fingers crossed), they're excited to celebrate with you all retroactively in Missoula -- one of their all-time favorite places.
