FAQs

Question

How do I get from the airport to my hotel?

Answer

The PVR airport is about a 30 min car ride from Zona Romantica. There are many taxis waiting just outside of baggage claim. Always ask for what the fare will be before getting into the car. Many drivers will only take cash, so ask first if you would like to pay via credit card. Booking.com also allows for easy "Airport Taxi" reservations, which is about $30 one way for 2 people. Uber does operate in Puerto Vallarta, but from the airport, you will need to exit the baggage claim area, walk across the parking lot and over a pedestrian bridge to catch a ride. Milford and Aimee have used this method on multiple trips to PV without issue, but it is a bit of a trek.

Question

What are the transport plans for the day of the wedding?

Answer

Our entire wedding party will be taking a private boat from Puerto Magico. Please arrive at the port no later than 4:00 PM, boat will promptly depart at 4:30PM to the private wedding beach. Guests will arrange their own Ubers to the port. Boat departs from Puerto Magico (the cruise ship port); proceed to gate 5 upon arrival. Your tickets are already paid for, just let the cruise director (Dante) know you are there for Milford and Aimee’s wedding. The Boat will return back to the port at 11:30 PM, and buses have been arranged to take all guests back to Zona Romantica.

Question

What should I pack? What is the dress code?

Answer

Based on historical data and early February forecasts for Puerto Vallarta, the weather around February 6 is expected to be warm, dry, and pleasant, ideal for outdoor activities. Highs in the low 80s and lows in the upper 60s. The schedule section of our website has dress code call-outs, where relevant. As a reminder, the wedding will be almost entirely on the sandy beach, so please choose your footwear accordingly!
