Welcome to our wedding!

We matched on the dating app "The League" in December 2018. Our first date was January 3, 2019, at the Seattle Art Museum for First Thursday. I was running late, so Milford watched from the restaurant window as I failed to parallel park my Miata correctly. Then, because I also showed up hungry, we went to Japonessa for sushi instead of touring the museum like he had planned. By the time we entered SAM, we were 15 minutes from closing time. Milford rolled with it. Our second date was Banya, the Russian hot/cold spa, and our third date was seeing Nao at Showbox Market. Milford threw the first curveball and moved for an amazing opportunity to Norfolk, VA in December 2019. We had cute plans of meeting in a new city each month of 2020 to make our distance relationship an adventure; life of course had other plans. Our relationship has survived through distance, multiple time zones, and a global pandemic. We have always told each other we are cautiously optimistic about the future together, and with each passing year, we have gotten closer and closer. True to form, we have gotten engaged, twice, while out of the country! Aimee surprised Milford in Ambergris Caye, Belize, by proposing to him on 12.26.23 during a quiet moment of a family trip. He was so caught off guard that Aimee had to say, "Soooo... is that a yes?" Milford later surprised Aimee (which he will tell you is not easy to do) on the beach in Porto de Galinhas, Brazil, on 02.15.24.
