Welcome to the Villa - Relax and get settled in!
5:30 pm - 11:45 pm
Arrive anytime after 5:30pm to meet your fellow travelers and get ready for the week ahead! We will provide something simple for dinner (probably pizza). You may want to stop at the grocery on your way in to get items you'd like in addition to this meal. Spend the night recovering in the pools and getting settled in your rooms. We will let you know which room you are in once you arrive.

Excursion: Trip to Pisa

Full day to Pisa (about 2 hours driving) - see the Cathedral, the baptistry and the square which is one of the most beautiful in Italy. Includes free time and lunch in some local restaurant in Pisa Guests: Murphys + Thiri Total amount: 85 euros to be paid in cash on the day of the trip (25e tower ticket, 10e cathedral ticket, 50e guide fee)

Excursion: Trip to Siena and San Gimignano

Full Day tour Siena and San Gimignano. Day-of Cost: 85 Euros, 35 in cash (guide and cathedral) and 50 via card at winery. Cost: 154 Euros Parties who RSVPd and paid transportation fees: Murphys, Jim + Kathee, Bryan + Lucia + Isaac, Eleanore, A&J, Thri, Amanda Explore the beautiful city of Siena with its magnificent square , narrow street and beautiful palace. Visit the Cathedral, a masterpiece of architecture and full of works of art. Next, a drive to San Gimignano (approx 40 min away) and lunch in a local winery famous for Chianti and Vernaccia wine. Wine tasting and Lunch. After lunch we will visit the medieval town of San Gimignano known as a Medieval Manhattan. Please bring remaining balance in cash the day of the excursion. Transportation included. We will more than likely stop for dinner on the way back, that cost is not included in the price.

Excursion: Trip to Montalcino & St Antimo Abbey

ANTIMO ABBEY Day-of Cost: 54 Euros cash for guide fee Total Cost: 166 euros Parties who RSVPd and paid for transportation and winery fees: Murphys, A&J, Thiri, Amanda A great day to explore the famous town called Montalcino who gave the name to the most important red wine of Italy, The Brunello. We will visit the town with its nice square and fantastic fortress (we can climb the castle too) and we can do two wines tasting here, one in the town in the wine shop ENOTECA which is inside the fortress and then we can reach a local winery for light lunch and another wine tasting outside the town. After that visit the Abbey of Saint Antimo, dating back to the VIII C° AD which is really a magical place! Transportation included in pricing, please bring remaining balance with you to pay guide on the day of the event. We will stop for dinner on the way back to the villa, but that is not included in the price.
Cooking class at the Villa

Learn how to make meatballs and tiramisu by a chef in the villa. Cost is 85 euros per person, which you will need to pay to the chef on the day of the class in cash, or via paypal for a 6% fee. Everyone has RSVPd, please make sure you bring your payment.

Excursion: Trip to Pienza e Montepulciano

Visit two of the most beautiful places in Tuscany, Pienza and Montepulciano. Day of Cost: 34 Euros for guide fee Total Cost: 151.30 euros Parties that have RSVPd and paid for transportation and winery fee: Murphys, Bry and kids, A&J, Thiri, Ellers, Amanda Pienza is a jewel of renaissance architecture located above the famous Val d'orcia which is a magnificent cathedral, and have lunch in a local Pecorino cheese factory. We will taste ten different kinds of cheese in the place where it is made, right in the countryside. After lunch we will continue to drive in order to reach Montepulciano famous for its Nobile Wine which is one of the top wines of Italy. We will tour the town and one one of the most incredible underground wine cellars. Very ancient and very traditional way of aging the wine here. Transportation included in price, we will stop for dinner on the way back to the villa, that is an additional charge.
