For the most convenient stay, we suggest Pine, Bailey, or Conifer as they’re the closest to our venue and offer a charming mountain feel. If you’re looking for more dining and nightlife options, Evergreen or Golden are wonderful alternatives—just a bit farther away. You can find additional lodging recommendations on our Travel tab!
We recommend arriving on Thursday if you’d like to attend the welcome party or are invited to the Rehearsal Dinner. If you are playing in the Thursday morning golf round, you will need to arrive in Colorado before Thursday. Please allow enough time to pick up your rental car and travel to your accommodations. The drive from Denver International Airport to Pine/Bailey is about 1.5 hours. If you choose to stay in Pine or Bailey, the drive to the rehearsal dinner and welcome party location is about 40 minutes.
Yes! Thursday includes: • 7:00 AM-11:00 AM: Golf round • 5:00 PM-7:00 PM: Rehearsal Dinner (for those invited) • 7:00 PM-9:00 PM: Welcome Party (all invited!)
The rehearsal dinner will be held at Footprints Fossil Trace in Golden, Colorado.
If you are invited to the rehearsal, please plan your travel so you have enough time to arrive in Colorado, pick up your rental car, check into your accommodations, and get to the rehearsal by 5:00 PM.
If you are invited to the rehearsal, it will be noted on your wedding invitation and will appear as an event option when you RSVP on the website.
The dress code is cocktail attire.
While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adult-only celebration. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you! Please note: A few children who are part of our wedding party will be in attendance for the ceremony and part of the reception.
We’d love to celebrate with all of our favorite people, but due to space limitations, we’re only able to accommodate those listed on the invitation. We so appreciate your understanding! ❤️
The dress code is cocktail attire — dressy but comfortable enough to dance in! October in Colorado can be a bit unpredictable, so you may want to bring a light jacket. Feel free to lean into bright autumn colors, bold florals, and warm seasonal tones to help us create a colorful fall celebration. Hats are absolutely welcome! If you have a fun fall hat, cowboy hat, or felt hat that fits your style, feel free to wear it—we’d love to see everyone’s unique take on fall cocktail attire. 🍂🤠
Yes — we highly recommend renting a car. Public transportation doesn't really reach Pine, and you'll appreciate the flexibility for exploring the area. If you're flying in with a group, carpooling is also a great idea!
Rideshare services such as Uber and Lyft do not reliably service the venue area. Guests should not plan on using rideshare for transportation to or from the wedding. Please plan accordingly by driving, carpooling, or arranging transportation in advance.
We kindly ask that guests be seated by 3:45 PM, as our ceremony will take place outdoors and the aisle needs to be cleared by 4:00 PM for the start of the ceremony.
The venue is located in Pine, Colorado.
Yes, there will be parking available onsite at the venue; however, parking is limited. Since Mountain View Ranch is tucked away in the mountains, access can be a bit challenging. To help save space and make the trip easier for everyone, we encourage guests to carpool.
October in Colorado is crisp, colorful, and unpredictable! You might get sunny 70° afternoons… or a surprise snowfall. Pack layers — think sweater weather plus a warm jacket for evenings.
If you plan to drive, you’ll experience some scenic mountain roads along the way! While they can be winding, they are well-traveled and manageable. Fall weather can vary, so we suggest allowing extra time and enjoying the views as you make your way to us!
You might, especially if you're coming from sea level. Pine sits at about 8,400 feet. To stay comfortable, drink tons of water, avoid heavy drinking your first night, and give yourself time to adjust. Even short hikes can feel more intense — it's normal! (We’re looking at you, Louisiana/Oklahoma/Texas crew)
Yes! Please dress accordingly (and bring that jacket — it gets chilly once the sun goes down).
Yes! Cheddar will be there greeting guests as they arrive and has made it very clear that pets are required (we don’t make the rules).
Absolutely! The bride, groom, and some family and wedding party members will be playing at Fossil Trace Golf Club early in the morning—probably around 7 AM. Friends are welcome to join! Just be sure to book your tee time directly with Fossil Trace Golf Club, ideally right after our group’s tee time, so everyone can play together. Don’t forget to bring your golf clubs! 🏌️♂️🏌️♀️ If you need to rent, Fossil Trace does offer rentals—just check with them when you book. Feel free to reach out if you want more details!
Yes. The golf round is Thursday morning, so anyone participating should plan to arrive in Colorado before Thursday.
Absolutely — this is one of our favorite parts! Whether you want a hike, a beer, or a scenic drive, Colorado delivers. Check out our Things to Do tab for more information!
The closest major airport is Denver International Airport (DIA), located about 1.5 hours from Pine. From there, you can rent a car or grab a ride and enjoy the scenic drive into the mountains. Please check the Travel tab for more details and car rental options. Another option is Colorado Springs Airport (COS), which is about 2 hours from Pine. While it’s a smaller airport, it can sometimes offer convenient flights and may be a good alternative depending on where you’re traveling from.
