The very first restaurant we visit once we land in Lima. Seriously-- from the airport straight to the restaurant. We start with "Choritos a la Chalacala," (loaded clams), Aidan enjoys the "Ceviche Senor Limon," while Ghilda opts for the "Ceviche de Pescado."
One of our favorite restaurants of all time-- Osaka's cuisine is a fusion of Japanese & Peruvian cuisine called "Nikkei" (Nick-kay). You will need to make reservations, and you will need to dress the part as well. Everything is incredible. "Makkis" are what we know as sushi rolls, but with Peruvian influence. Aidan loves "Tiradito," which is a sashimi-centric dish laid in a spicy/acidic/creamy finishing sauce.
A cuisine exclusive to Peru is called "Nikkei," and it is a blend of Japanese & Peruvian culture. This restaurant was voted best in the world in 2025.
