Simone & Sika met the Summer before their freshman year at The University of Texas at Austin and became instant friends! She's Sika's sorority sister, soul-sister, former-roommate and a true-blue friend for life!
Best Man
Pat, my youngest brother and best friend. He is one of the most generous and caring people I know. Although he is my younger brother, I look up to him. He is someone I try and model my life after. Having him as my best man was a no brainer! There isn’t another person who could take his spot. More importantly, his relationship with Sika is so genuine and unique. He has been the most influential person in my life! It is an honor to have him as my Best Man!

Aishia & Sika have more than 20 years of friendship under their belts, with a bond that has withstood the tests of time and distance! A girl couldn't ask for a more faithful friend!

John or Johnboy as his brothers call him. He is the eldest of the brothers. John is one of Mikey’s biggest mentors and best friends. John is that one brother you can always confide in and feel like you are getting pointed in the right direction. It has always been an asset to my life. Having him as a brother, mentor and friend is something I wouldn’t trade for the world.

Having racked up countless hours traveling up and down I-35 from Austin to Dallas, Candrea & Sika are each other's sounding boards, there to discuss all things, love, life things to come!

Matt, Mikey’s second oldest brother. Matt and Mikey share more than just brotherhood, they are both veterans of the U.S. Army. More importantly, I am the godfather to his first son. An honor bestowed upon me that I truly cherish. The relationship we have, as well as bond we share as veterans is unique. One of my mentors and best friends I owe a lot of my knowledge about life to him.

Rhea & Sika, often mistaken in college for being the same person, share a love of all things culture and comedy. No one can induce a fit of laughter like Rhea and nothing can squeeze out Sika's hilarity, like Rhea's contagious laughter!

“My names Laderice, but my friends call me LD”, was the first thing he ever said to me back in 2012, when we spoke on the phone! After that, we quickly hit it off, which was surprising since he tried dogging me on the phone the first time. (LOL)I love him like he was my younger brother and our friendship is one that I cherish. More importantly, I appreciate the closeness him and Sika share.

Sika considers Jenn, the perfect mix of outgoing and grounded! She's the first to sign-on for a good time and the first to make sure that good times don't go wrong. Sika believes that every one needs a Jenn in their life!

Tommy, Mikey’s first cousin and one of his longest friends. Tommy’s friendship is more of a brotherhood than friendship Tommy has been apart of every major event in my life. His friendship means so much to me. Having him as a groomsman is an honor and a privilege.

Sika considers Jess as her favorite quiet storm. She's got the world's biggest heart and an admirable level of emotional intelligence. She is also ALWAYS up for a good time and a new experience!

Zach, more like a younger brother than friend. He has been a part of my life for over 15 years. His loyalty and friendship are unmatched. I probably don’t tell him enough, but his friendship means the world to me. Having him in my wedding is truly a blessing.

Laura and Sika bring out each other's inner-middle school cool kid. You can find them in the same room cracking jokes on social media or texting and laughing at a joke that no one else is privy to.

Lewis another one who is more of a younger brother than friend. Our relationship started with me usually chasing him home on Saturday mornings! His lightheartedness and humor are always a great time. Having Lewis and his constant smile in our wedding is extraordinary.

After Crystal & Ahsika became sorority sisters, Sika promptly decided that Crystal would also be the big sis she never had, but always wanted! She'd dig through her closet, laugh with & complain to her and show up at her house forcing her to have sleepovers!

Joey, I don’t even know where to start!! We have been friends for over 25 years! 25 YEARS! There is not a single memory in my life that he is not involved in! Having him in my wedding is just another wonderful memory added to that list.
