Sedona
One of our favorite areas in Arizona is 2 hours north of the wedding venue - and where Sean proposed! Sedona is famous for great hikes, food and adventure activities. Our favorite hikes: Cathedral Rock, 1 mile Seven Sacred Pools to Soldier Pass Trail, 3.1 miles Doe Mountain Trail, 1.5 miles Little Horse, 4.3 miles Wilson Mountain Trail, 11.5 miles - Sean's favorite but not for the faint of heart! Camelback Mountain
Camelback Mountain is a 13 minute drive from our hotels. Hikers will love trekking the Camelback Mountain via Echo Canyon Trail. Located in the Echo Canyon Recreation Area, the 2.5-mile out-and-back trail offers hikers challenging climbs and rewards of breathtaking panoramic views. This is a strenuous climb requiring scrambling and sure-footed steps.
Piestewa Peak Summit Trail
Piestewa Peak is a 19 minute drive from our hotels. Piestewa Peak Summit Trail is a 2.1 mile hike, rated difficult trail that features 360 views of Phoenix.
Gateway Trailhead - McDowell Sonoran Preserve
The Gateway Loop Trail in the McDowell Sonoran Preserve is a good solid hike requiring some trekking prowess. The 4.4-mile loop traverses somewhat rocky terrain, with excellent Valley views.

Hole in the Rock and Papago Park
Hole in the Rock is only 0.3 miles to get to the beautiful view at the top--perfect at sunset! Big Butte Loop in Papago Park is a moderate 2.2 mile hike. Located close to the botanical gardens if you want to combine activities.
Desert Monsters Tours
Explore what the Arizona desert has to offer while driving a CAN-AM UTV on a Desert Monsters off-road desert ATV and UTV tour. Desert Monsters Tours offers "YOU DRIVE" guided ATV and UTV tours in Scottsdale and Phoenix Arizona in the Sonoran Desert on the Tonto National Forest.
