It was a collision of television show interests that sparked the conversation between Bob and Lauren. And what started with a simple message on OK Cupid turned into a walk through Central Park that lasted for hours. Despite the "long distance" relationship across boroughs in New York City, the two fell for each other quickly.
After nearly six years of dating, it was time to take the relationship back to where it began: in Central Park. The day was planned as a trip through the park in one of the last nice days of the season, which also happened to be right around the anniversary of their first date. However, after what seemed like a strange and planned walk through the park, Bob dropped down onto one knee and offered Lauren his Grandmother's ring.
May 15, 2021 was truly a perfect day. The weather was gorgeous (minus the roughly one minute of light rain right before the vows were said), the bride was radiant and Central Park was alive with love. Lauren and Bob became husband and wife at the Ladies Pavilion in the same park they had their first date and became engaged. Bob's sister, Emily, performed the wedding in front of a small gathering of family members, featuring prayers from Lauren's brother-in-law, Dan, and Lauren's cousin, Sophie. While the ceremony was beautiful, the only thing missing was the rest of our friends and family. We are excited to finish our wedding experience with our reception in November at The Franklin Institute, and we are more excited to be able to share it with those we love.
