Things To Do

We're so excited to share some of our favorite things to do and some fun new ideas near Chief Hosa for those of you staying nearby!

Visit Golden, Colorado

Golden, CO

The town of Golden is a charming Western town that's vibrant and offers lots to do! There are abundant hiking and biking trails; restaurants, art galleries, and boutiques dot Washington Avenue; history fans might enjoy a visit to Dinosaur Ridge, Buffalo Bill Museum, or Colorado Railroad Museum, among other local historical sites; the Lariat Loop offers a scenic drive between Golden, Morrison, and Evergreen and connects attractions like Lookout Mountain, Red Rocks, and the Buffalo Bill Museum; you can even tour Coors Brewing Company and enjoy a frree sample!

Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre

18300 West Alameda Parkway, Morrison, CO 80465

Colorado's most iconic concert venue, Red Rocks can be visited between sunrise and sunset. You'll be treated to gorgeous scenery, might be inspired to "run the steps" as some locals do for their workouts, and can take advantage of some terrific hikes. The visitor center has some great photos of past concerts.

Downtown Denver

Denver, CO

Downtown Denver is less that 30 minutes from Chief Hosa, and there's lots to do in the city... Noah worked at the REI Flagship store (https://www.rei.com/stores/denver), fronting Confluence Park, for the last five years, and it's a great destination shopping experience. Union Station (https://www.denverunionstation.com/) is a beautifully restored transit hub that welcomes visitors with its array of restaurants, bars, boutique shops, and a lively, inviting atmosphere. Nearby, Larimer Square (https://www.larimersquare.com/) offers a charming, historic setting decorated with string lights, perfect for shopping and enjoying excellent dining options. The vibrant RiNo Art District (https://rinoartdistrict.org/visit) is famous for its colorful murals, craft breweries, and trendy eateries, making it a perfect stop for those looking to experience the city’s creative spirit.

Hop on a Bike!

We couldn't not encourage you to get on a bike this weekend! The city has multiple bike parks, 850 miles of paved, off-street biking and walking trails, connecting cyclists with all parts of Denver, from downtown to the Cherry Creek Reservoir. Trails also stretch west from the city, connecting riders to Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre . The Denver Moves plan, which aims to increase access to “high comfort bikeways” throughout the city is actively adding 270 more miles of bikeways, bike boulevards and separated bike lanes on streets to make it even safer and easier to scoot around town or cycle into the foothills and enjoy biking and mountain biking in Denver Mountain Parks.
