When they were 16 years old, Jordi was the loud girl that sat in front of Brian in Spanish class. Funny that he is fluent in Spanish but she got a better grade in that class! Fast forward to Senior Year and they had several classes together. In one, Brian and Jordi sat next to each other as they were seated alphabetically by last name. Jordi's best friend, Delaney, sat close by as her last name was Andrews. Jordi regularly made Brian switch seats with her so the girls could sit next to each other and talk, but then felt bad so she often included Brian in their conversations and they all quickly became good friends. Brian worked at Dominos and would often give Jordi free pizzas for doing his homework, and he was always invited to her pool parties where she tried to set him up with some of her friends - glad that didn't work out! Throughout the year, as they grew closer, they always joked they should date and even had a marriage pact where if they were both still single at 40, they would marry each other. It was then that Brian bought Jordi a ring for 75 cents from one of those machines at the grocery store, which she still has. In 2019, Brian was stationed in Washington with the Army at JBLM, and Jordi lived nearby after loving the area from college. They reconnected after realizing they both were still in Washington and went bowling with some of Brian's friends where they renewed their marriage pact from 40 to 32. It still took couple of months before they started dating, but quickly realized they were meant to be together. After asking Jordi to marry him casually multiple times and discussing it over several years, he officially proposed on the bridge near the Christmas Tree on her parents property in Idaho.
