Gettin' Hitched

When we tell the story of how we met it doesn't sound magical or romantic but honestly it isn't about "how we met" that matters, rather the story that matters is how we fell in love and how we continue to love each other through ups, downs, the bad, good, ugly, and beautiful. With a swipe right on Tinder (yes, TINDER) and nearly a week of talking to each other we finally made plans to go on a date. As the gentleman that Austin is he came to pick me up and the first 3 things he says to me when I open the door to greet him is "You are a lot shorter than I expected" "You love the color black, you look great in it" and my favorite "You look beautiful." Yeah, the last part is simple, but these three phrases already showed me that he's honest, mindful, respectful and a romantic. Fast forward through our first date - I had my reservations. I didn't think I was ready for commitment, but Austin (in a gentleman way) let me know he would wait till I was ready, told me he wasn't going anywhere. Sure enough, 2 years later he hasn't let me down and has supported me through everything. We have a beautiful, blended family that we are forever blessed and grateful to have. We have grown so much in our faith for our love of Christ, love for each other, and love for ourselves. We have brought the most beautiful parts of one another out and made one another the best version of ourselves. Every day, we strive to let one another know the appreciation, love and support we have to offer each other. Our love isn't easy or in other words it is forever growing even with challenges, we love each other more than the day before. Our love is fierce or in other words we are honest, open communication, and have the ability to compromise, learn and grown. Our love is time-consuming or in other words no matter what is going on in our lives be that it may with 5 kids, work, school, events, social events, etc. We take time for each other, we don't forget to be thankful to remember why we have the life we do, and what we are working for. Our time on this earth isn't measured by actual time, it is measured by what we choose to do with it. We choose to love each other forever and always. We can't wait to share our love with you all and show the amazing gift of love and marriage that God has blessed us to have.
