Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

*Welcome Party* Dress in smart casual or cocktail attire. Picture a little black dress, a chic top paired with trousers or a skirt, or a collared shirt with tailored slacks. *Wedding Day* Our wedding calls for cocktail attire with a tropical twist. Embrace bright colors, vibrant florals, or bold tropical prints in lightweight fabrics like linen, silk, chiffon, and cotton. Ties are optional. Keep in mind that you'll be walking on cobblestone, so choose your footwear wisely. *Sunday Brunch* Keep it casual and comfortable—wear whatever you'll be traveling in!

Question

What’s the best way to get around while in Cartagena?

Answer

***Use Uber - Avoid Taxis*** Navigating Cartagena is easiest with Uber. Taxis are unpredictable and will overcharge tourists.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we cherish children, our wedding will be an elegant adults-only celebration. Due to Colombia's specific regulations regarding minors, guests under 18 are not permitted at any of the event spaces / wedding venues.

Question

Safety Tips?

Answer

Cartagena has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years and is a safe destination for tourists, especially in the historic center known as the Walled City. As with any popular city (such as NYC), it’s important to take basic safety precautions and stay vigilant. • Avoid wearing flashy, expensive jewelry. • Don't carry around large sums of money. • Be mindful of pickpocketers. • Secure your belongings • Politely decline unsolicited offers. • Be aware of scams & hidden fees. • Don't take taxis (Use Uber) • Don't meet up with strangers on dating apps. Note: Most common crimes in Cartagena involve women targeting men through nightlife or dating apps.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Only those specifically invited and who have RSVP'd will be able to attend our celebration.

Answer

Credit cards are the preferred payment method, readily accepted at most hotels, restaurants, and shops. We recommend not carrying large amounts of cash with you.
