Question

By when should I RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP by October 6, 2021.

Question

Is proof of vaccination required?

Answer

Yes, proof of vaccination is required by our reception venue in accordance with the New York City vaccine mandate. Please make sure to bring your vaccine card or, if you're a New York resident, you may use the Excelsior Pass. Children under 12 will need to wear a mask for the reception. Don't hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

For the ceremony, we ask that you wear cocktail attire. This includes suits, cocktail dresses, or formal jumpsuits. In the south, we would describe this as "Sunday's Best." If it's easier to wear your black tie outfit, no problem! For the reception, we ask that you wear black tie attire or Indian formal attire. This includes gowns, tuxedos, sarees, etc. If you need more inspiration, check out this article on Zola https://bit.ly/2MLMZJw Please note that Lotos Club has a dress code that requires long-sleeved collared shirt, jacket, and necktie for men and the equivalent degree of formality for women.

Question

Can I rent a gown or tuxedo?

Answer

Yes, renting is a great option. We recommend looking at Rent the Runway for gowns and The Black Tux where you can rent everything from shoes to a bowtie at a reasonable price. They both often offer discounts, particularly for first time users.

Question

Is there a break between the ceremony and reception?

Answer

Yes there is. This will give us time to take photos while you rest, relax, and get ready for the reception. Alternatively, there are many wonderful sights around the Lotos Club including The Frick Collection and the Metropolitan Museum of Art. See the "Things to Do" tab for more inspiration.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your invitation says "and Guest" or specifies other members of your household, yes you can. The Lotos Club is a small venue so we cannot accommodate any additional guests.

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Check out the tab labeled registry for more details. Thank you to everyone who has already given us a gift!

Question

What the best way to get to the wedding?

Answer

On the day of the wedding, we recommend that you do not drive. Neither venue has parking and we really want to save you the stress of driving in the city. We recommend using Uber, Lyft, or hailing a yellow cab rather than risk the city's unreliable subway system. Please allow for extra time as traffic is very unpredictable. If you are driving in from the tristate area, we recommend using one of the parking decks close to the Lotos Club and taking a car/subway to the ceremony. These include Imperial Parking Systems at 860 5th Avenue (2120650-0996) or Colony Garage at 30 East 65th Street (212-879-8798). Don't forget to choose a designated driver.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

Children may come to the ceremony. However, as much as we’d love to have all of our friends’ children at the reception, we can only invite a few children from our immediate families to the Lotos Club. We hope that you will understand this decision and we very much hope you will still be able to join us on our special day. If you are visiting from out of town and need sitter recommendations, please let us know

For all the days along the way
