Question

Should I get vaccinated?

Answer

Short answer: Yes. Long answer: Both the bride and groom feel grateful and privileged to be fully vaccinated. An informal poll of those invited indicates that upwards of 80% of our guests will also be vaccinated. We encourage everyone to look at the data and research regarding this intervention. This particular mRNA vaccine has shown itself to provide a high level protection from SARS-CoV-2 (including newer, more virulent strains) and effectively eliminates the risk of infecting those we love. The great news is that the vaccine is now available everywhere in the U.S. to everyone 16 and older. We are not medical doctors or scientists but we have done our research and encourage you to learn more if you have questions or concerns: https://youtu.be/the81FQoAUI https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/keythingstoknow.html https://www.thelancet.com/journals/lanmic/article/PIIS2666-5247(21)00069-0/fulltext

Question

Is it okay if I I still want to wear a mask?

Answer

Of course :)

Question

Are there rideshare options in Wellesley?

Answer

Yes, but guests should use the "schedule a ride" feature for 11:30ish. Wellesley is a residential suburb it's unlikely there will be a bunch of lyft's just hanging around outside the venue gate. Please plan ahead! https://help.lyft.com/hc/en-us/articles/115013078668-Scheduled-rides-for-passengers https://www.uber.com/us/en/ride/how-it-works/scheduled-rides/

Question

Is it open bar?

Answer

Yes! We are excited to celebrate together:) Please be sure to figure out your transportation arrangements before the big day so you don't have to stress or worry about your DD having one too many. Wellesley is full of unlit roads and big trees. Don't risk it.

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Black-tie Optional: Tuxes and gowns are preferred—this is our first celebration in over a year and we can’t wait to party with you in your best duds! The groom, his dad, and the bride's father and brother will all be looking dapper in tuxedos. An alternative would be a dark suit. For anyone considering high heels--encouraged if desired; however, keep in mind that there will be plenty of grass and uneven terrain throughout the evening (the bride will be tottering around on stilettos so kindly lend her your arm if you see her take a spill!).

Question

Is there transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes, it loads at 4:55 at the Newton Marriott. Seats are limited to 29 on first-come-first-serve basis (because there is a weight limit on the bridge to the venue, that was the largest bus we could use). Please reach out to Nolan or our wedding planner, Paula Marrero, for details.

Question

After party?

Answer

Nothing formal. But we are planning to wear you out on the dance floor!

Question

Is there anything planned for the morning after the ceremony?

Answer

We don't have anything planned at this time. There are lots of cute brunch spots around Boston/Wellesley/Newton and all hotels with wedding room blocks have restaurants within! One thing is for sure--the restaurant at the bride and groom's hotel (The Liberty) has a kickass Build-Your-Own Bloody Mary Bar.

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We love your kids--we really do--we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers. If anyone needs help with making arrangements for child care, please reach out to our wedding planner, Paula Marrero, for the best recommendations for professional babysitting.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are having what the kids call an “unplugged” ceremony. We want you to be able to relax and have fun with us! This in mind, we invite you to put down all your favorite devices and just be present in the moment with us. We want to see your beautiful faces and not your devices as we commit our lives to each other. Please leave your camera in your bag (we've got photography covered!), and put your cell phone on mute (we promise they'll call back!). We promise to share our professional wedding photos later, but the greatest gift you can give us today is just being fully present with us in this special moment.

For all the days along the way
