This hotel is about a ten minute drive from the event with waterfront and bridge views. A walk up the hill gets you to shops and restaurants in Hancock, MI.

There are countless houses, apartments, and room rentals in the area. Please be sure to search for Houghton, MI, NOT Houghton Lake, MI. Other useful searches would be Houghton County, Baraga County, and Keweenaw County. Towns 45 minutes away or less also include Chassel, Dollar Bay, Hancock, Gay, Lake Linden, South Range, and Calumet.

Houghton County Memorial Airport (CMX)

Houghton County has a small airport that offers two daily flights from Chicago's O'Hare Airport. The venue and hotels are just a short taxi or Lyft away from the airport.

The airport has Alamo and National car rental service counters and you can book online or give them a call.

Another car rental option is Priceless of Dollar Bay, though renting from here would require a trip from the airport to Dollar Bay.

Train

Indian Trails Bus Lines

Folks coming from Milwaukee, Detroit, Duluth, or anywhere in between may also consider taking the bus into town rather than flying or driving. Adrienne used this in combination with Amtrak to get home in Chicago for the holidays during grad school and never lost any luggage or arrived late. Please double check the schedules though, as many routes operate through the night and take significantly longer than driving.
