Washington Park Arboretum

230 acre preserve full of flowers, giant Cedars and Sequoia’s, home to Seattle Japanese Garden. Visit Oxbow bakery for a lovely breakfast or lunch, Cafe Lago for dinner (requires reservation).

Elliot Bay Trail

Wander from Olympic Sculpture park to Magnolia - nice ocean front walk.

Lake Union Park

On south shore of Lake Union close to downtown. While there, take a stroll on the boardwalk and check out the Museum of History & Industry as well as the Center for Wooden Boats.

Gas Works Park

On the north shore of Lake union, has great views of the Space Needle and the Seattle cityscape. Wander over to Spinnaker Chocolate in Fremont for the best chocolate outside of Zurich.

Madison Park Beach

Great place for summer swimming in Lake Washington, views of the majestic Mt Rainier and Mt Baker on clear days as added bonus.

Madrona Park Beach

Another great swimming or paddleboarding spot, also great views of Mt Rainier on clear days.

Seward Park
