If you plan on flying in, the best airport to fly into is Asheville Regional Airport (AVL). They have direct flights to and from both Midway and O'Hare. The airport is roughly 20 minutes from Brevard, and about 15 minutes from downtown Asheville.

It is about 30 minutes away from Asheville and has fewer but not lesser restaurants, bookshops, and boutiques. Brevard has numerous trails, waterfalls, rivers, and also Parkway access. If you are planning on seeing the Blue Ridge Parkway, we encourage you to stay in Brevard or Asheville.
