Question

Where should I stay?

Answer

For your convenience, we have secured a discounted room block at the Holiday Inn Express Hauppauge–Long Island. To reserve a room at the group rate, you may book online using the following link: tinyurl.com/adrianhechtmanhotel (The discounted rate is already applied through the link, but if prompted, the group code is AHW), or call 1-888-465-4329 and mention the Adrian–Hechtman Wedding at the Holiday Inn Express Hauppauge–Long Island. There are also numerous hotels in the surrounding area to accommodate a variety of preferences and price points. Guests who prefer to stay within their hotel loyalty brand (Hilton, Marriott, Hyatt, etc.) will find several excellent options located within approximately 4–5 miles of the venue. Please note that shuttle transportation will not be provided. Valet parking will be available on-site at Watermill for guests who plan to drive. For those leaving their cars at their hotel, Uber and Lyft are readily available and easy to arrange throughout Long Island. Guests traveling from New York City may also find the LIRR to be a convenient option.

Question

What else is happening on Long Island that weekend?

Answer

Extend the weekend and stay through Monday to watch the Air Show! Jones Beach State Park will host the Blue Angels Air Show, a major aviation event featuring incredible aerial demonstrations by military and civilian performers. While the air show is typically held over Memorial Day weekend, in 2026 it has been moved to Fourth of July weekend to celebrate America’s 250th anniversary. More information can be found here: https://airshow.jonesbeach.com/ Since it is a holiday weekend with several events taking place, traffic throughout Long Island may be busier than usual, so we recommend allowing a little extra travel time if you plan to explore our beautiful island. If you are planning to stay for the weekend, it’s a wonderful time to enjoy our beaches, waterfront towns, restaurants, and summer festivities. And if you visit our hometown of Long Beach, be sure to stop by Marvel Ice Cream for a cone with sprinkles — our favorite!
