How We Met Our story began with a little suspense (and a lot of patience) on Cinco de Mayo 2023 at Superica in Houston, Texas. We had matched on Bumble, and our first date was over tacos and margaritas. Whitney was about 30 minutes late (thankfully Adrian decided she was worth the wait)! From that very first evening, we bonded over a shared love of travel, great food, and just enjoying each other’s company. Adventures Together What started as a great first date quickly grew into something much more. Adrian introduced Whitney to the excitement (…and occasional heartbreak) of Texas A&M sports - Gig ’em! Whitney, in turn, showed Adrian some of her favorite places in California, including Monterey, Santa Barbara, and Lake Tahoe. Together, we built a relationship filled with curiosity, laughter, and a shared love of experiencing the world. Travel quickly became one of our favorite ways to spend time together. Our first trip together quickly turned into a bucket-list adventure: three unforgettable weeks exploring Australia, including scuba diving in the Great Barrier Reef and ziplining through the Daintree Rainforest. Since then, we’ve continued to add stamps to our passports - chasing the Northern Lights in Norway, returning to Rotterdam to meet Adrian's close friends from his years living there, and celebrating love at weddings in Cancun (where we first said "I love you"), Poland, Italy, and San Miguel de Allende. Closer to home, we’ve made so many memories exploring the US and Texas, including Adrian's hometown of Corpus Christi. In November 2025, we’ll add another adventure with a two-week trip to Japan alongside Whitney’s family. The Next Chapter In January 2025, we moved in together, and a few months later our little family grew when we adopted our sweet pup, June Bug. Then, on September 27, 2025, Adrian surprised Whitney with a proposal during her birthday trip to Mexico, at the very same resort where we’ll soon celebrate our wedding with all of you. After exploring so many corners of the world together, it feels perfectly fitting that our next big adventure, marriage, will begin in a place that already holds so many special memories. From a slightly late first date to adventures around the globe, we’ve built a full life together and we can’t wait to celebrate the next chapter with the people we love most...you!
