We met at The Crossing, a bar/restaurant in Chicago. I worked at The Crossing and just happened to be bartending a Holiday Charity Event that Adrian helped organize. We started talking after one of his friends gave him a helpful shove towards the bar. We hung out later that night, played pop-a-shot and have been together ever since!

We love to travel and went to Greece last year. Throughout our trip, Adrian would consistently ask if I wanted him to put anything into or grab anything out of the hotel safe for me. I thought he was just being gentlemanlike by grabbing my things or getting them for me. While we were in Crete, he asked if I wanted to take a walk along the beach after dinner one evening. It sounded like a great idea, so we went back to our hotel room to change. However, both of us started feeling tired and we never made it to our walk. The picturesque beach proposal turned into a hotel room proposal. Adrian grabbed a little pouch out of the safe and handed it to me... I opened the pouch and was stunned to find a ring inside! I obviously said, "Yes," and we were engaged.
