Groomsman
Day 1 of Fourth Grade, when Darren's family had moved to North Carolina, Brooks and Darren shared a bus stop. Despite there being plenty of empty seats on the bus, he sat next to Brooks and the rest was history. Through middle school Halo Wars, High School football and by the sheer proximity of living 8 houses away from each other, they grew up together (mostly between each other's basements). They have remained friends through college, and Darren is extremely proud to have his longest running buddy by his side come wedding day.
Matron of Honor
If you can make it through nursing school together, you can make it through anything together. This amazing friendship is built on a solid foundation of trying all the foods, Christina being an honorary "third wheel" before meeting the love of her life, and lots of wine therapy. The bride is so incredibly lucky to have her!
Groomsman
Jacob Mueller came along a little later in Darren's life than Brooks, as they met playing 9th grade football together. He soon became a regular in the club the Ore's liked to call, the Basement Boys. Jake regularly has antics (get him a drink and you may hear the words 'Full Mull' come to life!), that can keep just about anyone entertained! To this day, through the ups and downs, Jake has been an incredibly reliable person and friend to Darren. Darren is incredibly excited to have Jake by his side, especially now that he will be graduating with his MBA from UNC-Chapel Hill. Go Heels!
Bridesmaid
The amazing woman that brought the couple together! Even though she's now in Seattle saving the world by day, by night Lanae is also well known to be the life of the party – and with moves like hers, we have no doubt she’ll be the first one up on the dance floor at the wedding!
Groomsman
Christopher Hurley is Christina's brother, and while late to the party, Darren considers Chris one of his best buds to be around. From home improvement to margarita extraordinaire to sibling travel, the two have shared alot together. Darren feels incredibly honored to have his future brother by his side.
Bridesmaid
Sister-by-love and best friend! On top of traveling together and enjoying great food (Team Apps for life!), Ashley is so loved for her huge heart, cheeky sense of humor, and ability to find the silver lining of every situation.
Groomsman
James and Darren met in the summer of 2007, when his sister, Donna, had an eat-pray-love summer on Cape Cod. Darren and James decided to make it official when they became brothers-in-law in 2011. The two have shared countless pints of beer, endless college and high school football games and even a few footy games (James loves it when you call it soccer!) together. When Darren was 20 and James approached him about being in his own wedding, Darren replied 'Oh I already knew I was'. Without asking - it's only fitting that James replied the same. He is incredibly proud and honored to share this day with James.
Bridesmaid
Donna is not only the future sister-in-law, but also one of the bride's dearest friends. Not to mention this killer woman is a mother, lawyer, and wine connoisseur. From the moment they met, she welcomed Christina into the family with open arms and made her feel right at home!
Groomsman
Josh and Darren met at UNC while playing football together before Josh moved up to the big leagues. They've shared a lot of fun nights together where SoCo was involved and countless hours spent as members of the Bo Clan. Darren has seen Josh grow in leaps and bounds and he can't wait to have one of his best buddies join him on his wedding day.
Officiant
The bride's little "big" brother is known to light up every room he's in and engage in interesting conversation. The couple is honored to have this fine young man marry them. He's got moves to rival Lanae - I see a dance battle in our future!
Groomsman
As the locals call him - Johnny D and Darren met in middle school at a snowball fight. After the fight, Johnny D offered up some Halo in his basement and the two cemented their friendship over countless Xbox battles. Through the years, the two experienced Bowman Gray Racing, too many dollars to count spent at Kimonos, and more than a few poker games. Now a father, a husband, and a man that Darren looks up to, he can't wait to have Johnny D next to him when he gets married.
