FAQs

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the intimate nature of our venue and the logistics of boat and shuttle capacities, we can only accommodate the guests specifically listed on your invitation. If your invitation includes a plus-one, it will be noted when you enter your name into the RSVP portal. We appreciate your understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, all of our wedding events—from the welcome party to the boat day—will be adults-only. We want you to take the weekend off, relax, and celebrate fully with us!

Question

Should we bring a gift?

Answer

Honestly, your presence is our present! Especially with the travel involved to join us in Belize, we truly do not expect any gifts. We are just so grateful you’re making the trip to celebrate our marriage with us.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Think Tropical & Coastal Casual. We want you to be comfortable! Breathable fabrics like linen and cotton are highly recommended to stay cool. For the ladies, we suggest flat sandals or wedges over stiletto heels, as the terrain can be sandy and uneven.

Question

What should I know about the location?

Answer

Sarteneja is a beautiful, authentic, and rural part of Belize. We love it because it’s off the beaten path, but that also means nature is our closest neighbor! Expect some bugs (mosquitos and "no-see-ums" are common). We recommend packing your favorite bug spray and coming in with an adventurous spirit!

Question

What about money?

Answer

USD is widely accepted throughout Belize and is often preferred! The exchange rate is fixed at $2 BZ to $1 USD. You don't need to worry about exchanging currency at the airport; just bring smaller USD bills for snacks, tips, and souvenirs.
