Phi Phi Islands
Some of the most world-renowned islands that's a boat trip away from where we're staying. Azure water and powdery sand and home to Maya Bay with many monkey's on the beach! Our hotel Rayavadee offers an all day excursion (6.5 hrs) for $155 / person. This is an official excursion we have on our wedding schedule if you'd like to RSVP & join us Weds the 10th!
Hoang Island
Koh Hong Island is ~ 15 minutes from Krabi by speedboat and is an archipelago of several small islands in the Than Bok Khorani National Park, characterized by white-sand beaches, limestone cliffs and a secluded turquoise lagoon. The shallow water is ideal for swimming, snorkeling and kayaking among shoals of tropical fish. It's really beautiful to kayak in the lagoon while being dwarfed by the mountains. Hike up to Koh Hong viewpoint for a beautiful panorama! Our hotel Rayavadee offers half day (3.5 hrs) or full day (6.5 hrs) excursions at ~ $100-130 / person.
Ao Thalene Mangrove Kayaking
Ao Thalene is one of the most tranquil places to kayak and not a touristy destination. Peaceful kayaking through mangrove trees with monkeys overhead. Our hotel Rayavadee offers a tour for ~ $125 / person that lasts ~ 4 hrs.
Koh Rok
Best place for snorkling or diving in Krabi Province! It's about an hour speed boat from our hotel and boasts lots of colorful coral and fish as well as turtles and eels. You may also see monitor lizards on the beach! Our hotel Rayavadee offers an all day snorkling excursion for 7.5 hours at $195 / person (hotel doesn't offer diving, if you want to dive that will be separate).
Rock Climbing in Railay Bay
Krabi's limestone cliffs are a favorite place for climbers from all over the world. The overhangs, stalactites, and craggy surfaces will offer fun & challenge for all climbing levels. Our hotel Rayavadee offer half day (4 hrs) and whole day (6 hrs) private courses where you get your own guide. Prices from $80-$117 per person.
Thai Cooking Classes at Rayavadee
Our hotel offers Thai cooking classes every Mon Weds and Sat from 11:30-2p CT where you learn to make a three course Thai meal. If you join their standard cooking classes it's $114 / person, or you can arrange for a private class with a 3 course menu of your choosing for $147 / person.
Flower Garland Weaving
A beautiful Thai Tradition - learn to weave intricate garlands made of sweet smelling jasmine and other flowers. Offered at our hotel Rayavadee for $50 / hr.
Fruit Carving
Learn the delicate Thai art of fruit carving that was practiced by the women of the Royal Court of Siam. Made intricate hand-made sculptures of flowers, birds, and animals made from fresh fruits and vegetables. Offered at our hotel Rayavadee for $40 / hr.
Hotel Activities & Ammenities
The hotel has an amazing pool that overlooks the bay (stunning!). There's also a tennis court, a raquetball court, a ping-pong table, kayaks, paddleboards, and a gym. They offer a lot of great free classes as well from yoga, to HIIT classes, to sound-healing & meditation.
Emerald Pool & Hot Springs
43 miles from Krabi are hot springs that are warmed by volcanic chambers and next to them is the Emerald Pool - a freshwater pool with a vibrant emerald hue. Hike through the jungle and cool off in nature. Recommend going on a weekday to avoid local crowds. Not an excursion offered by the hotel - you would need to arrange a taxi to get here.
