Peak season in Hood River is mid-June through mid-October. This small town's main hotels will book up and sell out quickly. Something to consider: look at Air BnB and other such services for a weekend home rental.

There are no ride share, cab, taxi or any other services like this in Hood River as of yet. You will need to carpool or rent a car to get around. We are looking into getting transportation for the big day!
Flight
In order to get to Hood River, you will need to fly into Portland, PDX. Then rent a car and drive for about an hour to Hood River. The drive is beautiful, right along the Columbia Gorge! From there, keep your car with you, there are no ride share services like uber or lyft. Flights from Houston: United offers 3 direct flights and is the only airline that offers direct flights! If you don't mind a connection, American Airlines offers well priced airfare and a way to get to PDX with a quick layover in Dallas. Southwest also offers affordable flights that connect in various cities in-between such as Denver, Las Vegas, and Phoenix. From Pittsburgh: there are no direct flights. On United and it looks like the best and quickest flights connect through Chicago. American Airlines also offers affordable flights with connections in Charlotte, Chicago and Dallas. We recommend checking airfare and booking sooner than later for best deals!
Hotel
On the National Register of Historic Places, the Hood River Hotel is Hood River’s oldest and most beloved vintage hotel. Located in the center of downtown they will be a base camp for this wedding weekend. This hotel is walking distance from top restaurants, breweries, wineries, and the world famous fruit loop. Room rates $250 and up. This hotel does not allow for room blocks! They have told us that they will always 100% sell out on weekends in October, being the last month of the "peak season". This property only has 41 rooms. Please book with them ASAP!
Hotel
This hotel is nestled on the scenic Columbia River shoreline. Although it is a little outside of town, it's a short drive to get in. A vast array of room types is offered to suit a variety of budgets, from non-view value rooms to deluxe river view suites. Their rates are seasonal, with our peak season occurring from mid-June through mid-October. Rates average $175/night. This is another hotel that will eventually sell out of rooms, so please book sooner than later!

Set on the banks of the Columbia River, this informal hotel is a mile from both scenic train rides at Mount Hood Railroad depot, and Koberg Beach State Park. This is also not walking distance from the main part of town. Room rates are ranging between $120-$150/night.
