Question

What is transportation schedule for the Welcome Party and Ceremony + Reception? And what are parking details if I am driving to either event?

FRIDAY — WELCOME PARTY Transportation: If you’re taking our provided transportation, the bus will pick up from West Chop Club and Mansion House in Vineyard Haven at 4:30 PM. Driving: If you’re driving to the welcome party, there is plenty of parking available behind the Grange Hall. SATURDAY — CEREMONY & RECEPTION Transportation (Getting to the Ceremony): If you’re taking our provided transportation, vans will pick up from West Chop Club and Mansion House in Vineyard Haven at 2:15 PM. Driving (Getting to the ceremony): If you’re driving to the ceremony, there is parallel street parking along Circuit Avenue Oak Bluffs, or you can park at Ocean Park, which is about a 5–10 minute walk to the chapel. Please plan to arrive at Union Chapel by 2:45 PM. The ceremony will begin promptly at 3:00 PM, so give yourself a little extra time! Transportation (Ceremony to the Reception): After the ceremony, vans will be waiting to take everyone from Union Chapel to the reception. Driving (Ceremony to the Reception): If you’re driving to the reception, please park at Mink Meadows Golf Club, just a short drive past the reception location on Golf Club Road. From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk to the party. Transportation (At the end of the Reception): The first vans will leave the reception at 9:30PM, with the majority vans leaving at 10PM to take everyone to West Chop Club (or if you are staying in WCC you can easily walk home from the reception) and the Mansion House in Vineyard Haven. Or stay a bit longer and come join us for the After Party at Sneaky Pete's Beach!

What time should I arrive to the ceremony?

Please arrive no later than 2:45pm. We plan to start the ceremony promptly at 3pm - and recommend taking the shuttles which will depart from The West Chop Club and the Mansion House in Vineyard Haven and likely drop off around 2:30pm-2:45pm.

What is the wedding dress code?

Answer

Semi-formal - suits, no black tie, for men. Midi or maxi length dresses for women, preferably no cocktail length. Excited to see you all looking sharp!! <3

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Ceremony will take place in doors, cocktail hour will be outdoors on a porch (but with a tent for the rain plan), and reception is under a tent. Note for the reception the ground will be grass if that affects your choice of shoe but the dance floor will be wood plank.

What will the weather be like?

Answer

Beautiful and sunny we hope!!! But note October can vary (high of 70°F, low of 45/50 °F ) and we recommend women bring a shawl or jacket for later in the night. And pack a rain coat for the weekend in case!
