Welcome to Italy!

6:00 pm

We will facilitate transportation for you from the airport to the villa - it's a bit of a drive, so as long as we have your flight information, don't worry! Should your flight plans change (e.g. delays), please contact Maddie to adjust our plan. We will have lunch prepared at the villa, and the afternoon will be spent exploring the property and getting to know one another! We have reservations for a local restaurant for dinner; we will all travel there together. After dinner, there will be low music and additional drinks for casual conversation. But, of course, in the spirit of a relaxing Italian holiday for all in attendance, we welcome you to retire for the evening whenever you would like!

Day Trip - Truffle Hunt!

11:00 am

Attire suggestions: The terrain is not rigorous, but it is suggested to wear comfortable athletic shoes for this day trip!

We will spend the midday enjoying a unique and fun day trip going on an authentic truffle hunt with trained truffle hunt dogs and guides! We will meander through a beautiful forest while the trained truffle dogs hunt out truffles that we will dig up. After we've collected truffles, we'll spend the midday drinking local sparkling white wine while a local nonna teaches us to make homemade pasta! After this pasta-making, we'll have a multi-course lunch prepared by the nonna, culminating in our freshly-made pasta topped with our freshly-foraged truffles. Each course will be made with local ingredients and will be paired with local wines. We will back at the villa around 3pm, with plenty of time for our rehearsal dinner in the evening.

Wedding Ceremony

4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

Garden party dramatic - semi-formal with light colors, patterns, or textures! Dramatic? Use this as your excuse to wear the cool thing in your closet - the fun jacket, the statement dress! The ceremony is outdoor, so please plan shoes accordingly.

Our ceremony will be on the beautiful property of the villa! The ceremony will be outdoors. Following the ceremony, we will take formal photos outdoors with everyone in attendance (everyone is family!); during this time, there will be drinks served. Following photos, a formal dinner will be served by a private chef - this is the same chef as for the rehearsal dinner, and he specializes in using local, in-season ingredients to build his menus, and is very excited to get to prepare our first full family meal.

Day Trip - Local Wine Tour to Three Wineries

11:00 am

Casa Castagna, located in Le Marche region, is known for its Rosso Piceno Superiore, Passarina, Pecorino, and Verdichio wines! The day will be spent visiting three wineries/vineyards with a local, English-speaking guide who is enthusiastic about the local wine scene. We'll visit the vineyards, cellars, and wine-tasting rooms, and we'll learn to distinguish the characteristics of local grapes. At each winery, we'll try local wines with small antipasti plates, and we will stop to enjoy lunch during the tour. This will be a full-day experience and will be a casual and fun day of wine and sunshine!

Final Day, Airport Transportation

8:00 am

A light, informal breakfast will be served, and we will facilitate group transportation to the respective airports for flights back home, or to wherever is your next destination! Because Maddie and Travis are the type to get to the airport multiple hours early, our goal is to have you to your airport plenty early. Is it overkill? Maybe - and that's okay! Should your travel plans at all change, please let Maddie know as soon as possible, and we will facilitate adjustment of the schedule.
