Once you've made the trip all the way out to Hawaii, it can be nice to island hop between Oahu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island of Hawaii. They have affordable hourly flights between all the islands, and if you sign up for a free HawaiianMiles account, you can save money on checked bag fees. They also have good prices on mainland flights from certain major cities, worth checking out!

Because of my Dad I'll always be a Delta girl, but seriously, Delta has some good prices on flights from Boston to Lihue w/ just one stop.

Southwest also flies to the Hawaiian Islands and doesn't charge to check luggage.

The Royal Sonesta Kaua'i Resort Lihue

This is where our wedding will be held. Their check-in time is 4pm, checkout is 12pm. There is a free airport shuttle available, and free onsite parking if you're renting a car. This resort has several places to eat including a delicious sushi restaurant. But my favorite thing has to be the large pool with an island in the middle, where you can bring a float, grab a tropical drink, kick back and relax. If you're staying elsewhere, you can also purchase a day pass to use the pool and amenities.

Marriott's Kaua'i Beach Club

Also located at the same resort as our wedding is this Marriott Vacation Club. Even though they share a resort, the rooms via Marriott tend to cost a little less than the Sonesta side. Plus, since it's a timeshare, you can sometimes luck out and find a wicked bargain on rooms through VRBO. It has all the same amenities including free airport shuttle and free onsite parking. Their check-in time is 4pm, check-out time is 10am.

OUTRIGGER Kauai Beach Resort & Spa

Located 10 mins from the Royal Sonesta, this resort has several pools and a waterslide making it a great option if you're bringing the kiddos.

Hilton Garden Inn Kauai Wailua Bay

Located 12 mins from the Royal Sonesta, this has beautiful views and is near the beach park and shopping.

ResortPass

ResortPass is an easy way to see which resorts offer day passes and sometimes day rooms. Adam and I had an 8:30pm flight out of Kauai and used ResortPass to book a day room so we could enjoy a resort's pool, restaurants, and be able to shower before our flight. So if there's any resorts you'd like to visit and enjoy, this could be another way to do that.

VRBO

Marriott's Kauai Beach Club has a lot of rooms available through VRBO, some of them at better rates than through Marriott's official site. This is a good place to possibly get a better deal, or if you're looking at rentals in the surrounding area as well.
