Swannanoa Palace
This place is truly magical. If you've heard of Maymont Park in Richmond, you probably have some idea of who The Dooleys are. Maymont Park served as their permanent residence, while Swannanoa, a 23,000 square foot marble mansion, served as their summer retreat. It was built in 1912 by James Dooley for his wife, Sallie May, as a labor of love. A real life fairytale.
