Additional Places to Stay

If you choose to stay off-site, you can still visit the resort for the events, the restaurants, and have beach access, but you cannot visit the pool unless you are a guest. I recommend Hacienda Del Mar as an alternative - it's a 12-minute drive and offers sprinter van-type taxi transportation services at the front desk at your request. The taxi service does not have to be pre-organized, though it wouldn't hurt to let them know when you're checking in. There are several restaurants on the property, beach access, and a few pools. Hacienda Del Mar does have an all-inclusive option, and they will organize airport transportation for $40 per person.

Upon Arrival

As you exit the airport to the ground transportation area, there will be other companies trying to sell you a ride. These may be unsafe. Continue outside to the covered pickup area and meet your pre-organized transportation company where they tell you to meet them in advance. Feel free to grab a margarita from the outside airport bars for the ride!

Transportation in and Around Cabo (Taxi's & Ubers)

There is Uber as of now in Cabo, and we have had many friends recently use it and feel comfortable - but taxi's are also a reliable source (so totally up to what you feel comfortable with). The taxi service is government-funded, safe, reliable, and costs about $20 USD cash per couple one-way anywhere. The taxi drivers may be unable to break large bills. Please bring $20s. While most taxi drivers speak enough English to get you where you need to go, restaurants and hotels will happily call a taxi for you and let them know where you'd like to go. If you need to go to the store, they'll wait outside for you to come back.
