We were fifteen year old kids when we first met at Camp Bennet while Adam was on Mission Possible and Rocio was serving with her church. It was a year of friendship and simple love but sadly, it ended. HOWEVER six years later, we met up for a coffee date and it was like we picked up where we had left off, only this time we had endless topics of conversation and deeper belly laughs. We've been inseparable ever since!
On November 30th, 2019, Adam bought two tickets to watch "Harry Potter in Concert" at the Kennedy Center. He later suggested we grab coffee with our friends Shaun + Reina and I, Rocio, said, "Of COURSE!" We met at the Politics + Prose at Union Market and no sooner did I have a stack of new books in my arms. Eventually, I made my way to the back of the store, where Adam was. I kept pulling books off the shelf, but never the right one until Adam suggested, "This one looks pretty." So I pulled out the book only to find our names on the cover. Confused I asked, "Why are our names on this book?" "Read it," Adam said with a smile. And knowing me very well, he told me to start from the beginning and not the middle, as I usually do. It was our love story, written out by Adam himself. It was full of funny moments and tender moments, and I was so, so happy. The last page asked the question, "Will you marry me?" The book had a special cut out for the ring box and so Adam got down on one knee and I said, "Yes!" Surrounded by my favorite things (Adam + books + friendships) we promised forever to each other. We are so excited for you to join us in celebrating the next chapter in our love story!
